Welp after pulling one of these lil guys from their stick home I got a idea of how to tye one.
Exact size and color…can’t wait to try em out!!

Hook: Mustad #12 37160 Scud.
Head: 1/8 Black Tungsten Bead.
Body: Danville 6/0 Tan with UTC Med Clear Vinyl wrapped 1x.
Leg area: Med brown Nymph dubbing

I have to ask… How do you manage to get a bead on the 37160? I find the bend a bit too sharp to make the turn with a bead.

i was thinking the same thing, ive managed to get them on after some redrilling, however, it engulfs the eye.

I have two dozen or more 37160 with beads. Some beads would not fit, but most did. Curious thing is the one color fit better than two other colors I have. That bend is acute, but I guess I had the right beads.
