Hate to even think about this, but yes, even with summer just starting autumn is just a couple of months in the future. This is a warmwater swap where we’ll share our favorite fall (early or late) flies. Limit of 12 swappers, and if we don’t get 'em we’ll go with what we’ve got as long as six of you sign up. What works for you in the Indian Summer or even late fall? For bass? Panfish? Pike? Tie as many as we have swappers. Signup is July 8, deadline August 28. Send SASP (self addressed stamped packages) in appropriate-sized containers. For the early birds my snail is John G. White, Box 672, Clara City, MN 56222. Look forward to seeing the flies.
I will play if you will have me. I will tie a Lady Bug Pattern for Panfish. Thanks John

Great having you aboard. I rarely use anything smaller than a 12, and mostly 10s. Most every fly I tie is between a 2 and a 10. A good swap is forming. I’m loving it. JGW
Since we have such a long timeframe here, I’ll join in. Put me down for one of my yellow and black bluegill flies. Some of you may have seen this before, but it remains one of my best bluegill getters. I really need a good name for it, though.
Welcome to the swap, guys. I’m a bit late getting you signed in. Just got back from Zurich a few minutes ago and decided to wind down a little. Just three slots to fill and we’ll close it and start the tying. JGW

OK, I’ve finished thinking about it!
My go to gill and crappie fly is a marabou leech, couple strands of flashabou, small glass bead, and no weight.
Size 8 0r 10 Mustad
colors: olive, chartreuse, orange, white
Thread and glass bead: matching or contrasting
Any preferences? I’ll tie multiple colors and sizes if there are individual preferences.
This is a variant of Rick Z.'s marabou leech.
Thanks, Rick. This is now my go to fly for anything from trout to bass to gills.

This is my first fly swap so I am not exactly sure what to do besides obviously send you guys flies. Do I email someone my address and get addresses from someone?
Tuffleye 33, typically for a swap this size you’ll send 12 flies with toe-tags that includes your handle, the name of the fly and the recipe. Place them into a container, crushproof and large enough to handle the flies, and mail them along with a self-addressed return envelope to the swapmeister. I’ll insert my address in the original thread in a few moments. The swapmeister then collects the flies, and sends one from each tyer back to the participants. Many of the swappers use Altooid boxes. Rick uses eye glass boxes, but most of us don’t work in his line of business. Welcome to the swap. This is a hobby that is truly addicting. JGW
I have never done a swap before but I would like to give it a shot. I have a pattern my buddies and I came up with that was originally for trout that works very well for bluegill. We just call it the Whiskeytown fly. If you will have me I would love to play.
