According to Rusty Gates due to the early arrival of warm weather the Hex Hatch has started!
I just spoke to Rusty, they have had a couple cancellations and there are two (2) rooms available. If you want to stay at Gates Au Sable Lodge, now is the time to call.
I saw that. 
I also saw them starting to come off on Lake St. Clair when I was there a week ago. Not in great numbers yet but I was hoping this cool front would slow them down a bit. Hopefully it won’t be over by the time we get up there. What’s a 4th of July without “fish flies” with the fireworks. :tieone:
I just booked one of those open rooms for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’ll be at Wyandotte Lodge Sunday and Monday (won those nights in a raffle at my FFF Club), but will be stopping by Rusty’s to say “HEY” to y’all. I spoke to Julie, and she assures me there will be plenty of perch, unless JC bribes someone in the kitchen. :lol:
Jack Hise just gave me a heads-up that there are no coffee makers in the rooms, so remember to bring one along for those early & late cups.
