Atta-boy Hook and Hackle!

I recently made a somewhat small order with the guys at Hook and Hackle. After the order arrived I found that there were a few miss shipped items. They were wrong color and wrong size type errors. Being picky about the details like any fly tier I gave the guys a call. Not only were they the nicest people you would ever want to talk to but they apologized for the inconvenience , quickly shipped the new items and didnt even request the return of the wrong items. We even had a chat about how the fishing was. Now thats not something you get when ordering from the big chain stores. Thanks Hook and Hackle for your great customer service. Look forward to doing business with you in the future.

i ordered 400 mustad hooks and only got 100 in the mail.

quantities on the invoice indicated “0” for 200 of the hooks and a “B.O.” (back order) on the other 100 quantity.

sent out an email yesterday asking them whats up with the order or if it can no longer be filled out, a refund.

sooooo, we’ll see how they go about fulfilling my order.

Mustad is over 2 weeks behind in their shipping and it has affected our delivery of Mustad hooks. (I would have never had the 20% off sale if I knew this!)

I’m sorry about this, but as you know, we do not charge shipping on backorders.

Backorders are a part of business and please know that they are not only aggravating to our customers, but very expensive for us!! We do greatly appreciate your business and your patience, too!

P.S. - We were so aggravated with backorders from Tiemco, that it prompted us to introduce our own line of hooks, which is now one of our best selling lines of chemically sharpened hooks. The best part is, we can actually keep them in inventory so that backorders are less likely!
