Articulated Circus Peanut, in Olive. Lead hook is an Eagle Claw plain-shank, size 2. Trailing hook is same brand, size 4. I like how this moves in the water. Now I just need to go hit a decent stream and see if the Smallies and/or Trout like it.
Allen,
Very nice fly; those things wiggle like crazy. Had good luck with them on the Snake; hope they work for you, too.
Regards,
Scott
Thanks Scott!
I’ve got some stuff ordered. I want to do a few other patterns, and try to get 3 or so color variations on each pattern. Nice little project to get me through the Winter
Allen,
Try the Sculpzilla http://www.charliesflyboxinc.com/flybox/print.cfm?parentID=153
Worked even better than the Circus Peanut. Wear a batting helmet, though; wizzed by my head making ominous sounds.
Regards,
Scott
Good looking fly. I have caught Trout and Bass on them. I agree with Scott, try some Sculpin pattern. They are real fish catchers.
