Dshock, yes I painted those eyes. Prismatic eyes are a very good solution, but when I tied those flies I didn?t have any prismatic ones at home (and I could not stop tying LOL).
Normand, yes, Bob Popovic?s surf candy and mine are very similar. When you try to imitate a sand eel you have to get close to the living thing. We all use, more or less, the same materials and so our flies look similar, but I call mine “Arrowheads” because their heads. Popovic used Epoxy to do the head, I worked with plastic material to fabricate my heads. When I have the head, I just introduce the hook through it and finally tie the head to the hook. So easy that I am thinking about the possibility of commercializing them.

Very nice fly! I was wondering about the hook size since its hard to tell from the photo. Also, what fish are you targeting with that fly? 8T

the fish I am targeting are sea bass and sea trouts. the fly is 10 cm long.
