Apology to the group

I think the Message Center is great. If someone asks to email, I use that. Otherwise, a PM usually gets through. It’s a great feature for those that do not wish to post their email and have it in view of the world.

i like the PM feature, it was one aspect the old board was lacking.

You may want to set the default options to pop-up a notification when a new PM arrives, that way people would see them then have the option of turning the pop-uf off in their profile rather than vice-versa. If i remember correctly I had to turn on both the pop-up and email notification in my profile. Probably many folks just register and post away rather than going through all the profile options.

 Please J,C. don’t turn off the buletin board private message feature. It is great and maintains email privacy

Since you now know about the message center, Mr. Beatty… message sent!

Recently with our anual December sale going on I had an order by normal E-mail from a customer. I selected the products and sent him an E-mail. It bounced, not only once but twice. I phoned him and told him I would PM him. Re responded by E-mail, I conducted the rest of the order from me to him by PM!! He back to me by E-mail.
If anyone ever has a problem getting an e-mail through to me I really like the option of having the PM.
Of course my vote would be “Keep It”
I have the options set so I do get “You have PM” which appears on my e-mail. Got to Love it!

I’m with the Bassman. Took me awhile to find and use. However, it really doesn’t make a lot of difference. I don’t mind my e-mail showing, either, although I was frustrated in wanting to ask someone a question and not having access to their e-mail. That’s how I discovered the PM feature. JGW
