For a while there I thought you were ignoring me. 
Hopefully I’ll make the Fly Fishing show this year to introduce myself. I see they changed locations to Pleasanton.
You don’t as far as I can tell. The only option I see in your profile is to have an email alert to let you know you have a PM. The only way I know other than the email that includes a link is at the top of the bb page.

I for one hate message centers. I rarely think to look for messages and to be honest, it’s very much by accident that I ever see them. If the PM comes to my email, I will get and answer them in a timely manner. Seems all the forums have this feature so I am certainly not singling out any forum by my comments.
Holy cow I had 258 messages! Sike! :lol: I do like the new lay out though.

I thought they would be great. A few have sent me some. I no longer use them because most do not have them turned on and my messages just sit there, unknown and answered. I have used them several times to thank folks for something, in a timely manner, only to have them ignored. I no longer will use them, too many don’t want to be ‘bothered’ and/or have them turned off. Several seem to find them annoying. If I get too many complaints I will remove them. There is always email I guess.
I do like the message center a lot. I like it better than trying to use email. Besides most everyone now keeps there email addy secret. John

Please don’t remove them. If I remember correctly one of your reasons for having them was so we don’t have to expose our email addy to the world…a good thing.
Also they are indeed quite handy …I’ve currently got three unread and unanswered PMs I sent but I can live with that.
The folks ought to enable that email notification feature.

Just my $0.02 worth, but I for one like the message center and hope it will not come to a decision to turn off the feature. I like the ability to send a direct message to an individual without having to broadcast it on the bb.

Add my vote for keeping the pm message board up and running. It is so nice to just click on the members profile and then click on send pm and leave a message for the member and having the option where when you log in a pop down window comes down and tells you that you have a pm is even nicer. Everyone just needs to try it one time and they will see how great this feature is. Please do not remove it.

I too like the PM feature. If some people don’t want to use it, than they don’t have to. Please do not get rid of it.

Count me among the deciples who like the message center. I use it in lieu of giving out my e-mail addy, and find it convenient as I check the site at least twice each day. When I log in the pop-up window lets me know I have a message, and I really like that. Just my 2 cents.
