I don’t use Skype, but you can do the same thing with Yahoo Messenger which I do use.

Yahoo Messenger can be used like Skype? Is it just text, or just verbal, or verbal and live video just like Skype?

I use it to do live video chats with grandkids all the time. Get the latest version. It will utilize a webcam if you have it.
