Anyone interested in a 6-month ROYGBV Swap??

THIS SWAP IS CLOSED

This is designed to give tiers a chance to be COLORFUL! (though not in their language - please!). Each month the fly will have as the main color a new color in the rainbow. The swap will run for six months with a different color theme each month. The colors and due dates follow:
Red - Due by Febuary 22, 2011
Orange - Due by March 22, 2011
Yellow - Due by April 19, 2011
Green - Due by May 24, 2011
Blue - Due by June 21, 2011
Violet - Due by July 26, 2011
I will run this swap for no less than 6 and no more than 10 participants and registration will close by COB January 4th, 2011. Please do not register for this swap unless you plan on tying all 6 flies. I would like to limit flies to freshwater only. Please include the name of your fly when registering and toe tags when mailing your flies. I will send my mailing address to you when you are confirmed for the swap.

Have fun and I look forward to hearing from you!

I’ll Play if you take continental swappers, we have to work out the postage, because being European I cannot buy American stamps. Maybe some extra flies or materials or Paypal?
I’ll do a red spinner.
Grtzzz…
Sjo

I would like to join. Will start with the Scarlet Lbis.

Please, sign me up… I need to do a little researxh to pick a red pattern… I’ll get back to you later today…
…ModocDan
…I’ll go with a red midge pupa pattern I used summer before last that fished well, I can’t recall the name of it,
but it was productive…Dan

Does the fly have to be of an offical pattern or can we make up our own as long as it is fishable

As I said at the end of the initial annoucement -HAVE FUN! Love to see new designs!! Plus, even WITH a formal, known design - I NEVER guarentee that my flies would be descibed as FISHABLE! I only know that there are two good days when fishing - days you catch fish and days you don’t. ALL of my flies pass one of those two standards.

sjo. ibrb, modocdan and scubatim - you are all registered for this swap - please remember this swap will entail 1 fly per month for 6 months total. Glad to have you aboard.

sjo,

Always appreciate any flies or tying materials - same goes for the TECHNIQUE SWAP. I’ll leave that decision to your good graces - whatever is easiest for you.

Kim

1 more swapper needed - Please!

LAST DAY - We would LOVE to have at least one more tyer!

I would like to be in this as well.

Elaine

Welcome Flygal! Happy to have you join us. FYI - your PM came up on my screen before I saw this listing. Just let me know what fly you will be tying for this swap.

Looks like we will have a cozy total of 6 tyers in this swap. I look forward to seeing your flies!

Also, I hope everyone will join me in welcoming a new member of the FAOL family - Flygal.

Have fun everyone!

Thanks Kim. I think I am going to try a red classic wet wing.

Hey Flygal, over here also! And again making a swap possible, that’s almost too much! I am very happy that you participate in these two swaps!!

Welcome Flygal

I received your flock of ibis in the mail. Great looking flies and enough for 2 flies per swapper! Thanks ibrb!!

Just wanted to let you know I will be tying red brassie flymphs on a Mustad C49S size 12 curved caddis hook

Okay RED Froo Froo flies are on the way to you. Seriously folks, I have been practicing body work for classic salmon flies and the red color gave me a chance to play. Hope you don’t mind but I think they came out okay. I am still waiting on hooks for my thundercreek assignment in the other swap. Should be fun.
Now to start figuring out what to tie for orange…hmmmm…

I look forward to seeing them! Thanks Flygal!
