Going out fishing on fathers day. I have an unusually large block of time. Thinking about Rocky River. But, I’m open. If anyone is going out and wouldn’t mind some company or would care to join me. PM me.
Janus
Brian,
At this point, I think I’m booked, but if the Wife/Kids/Grandkids announce they want to do Dad’s Day on Saturday, I’ll PM you!
Mike
Janus,
I might have some time later in the day. I have a golf game with Dad in the morning (haven’t touched my clubs in 2 years, but Dad likes to play) and then drop my son off at scout camp for the week.
I would love to get some time on the Rocky, I usually hit the Chagrin or the Grand.
Mike
I’ll be out 6am-12:30pm. If that works let me know
I’m not in Ohio, but the whole family is going to take me fishing on father’s day. Looking forward to it. Hope that you have a grand time on the water that day and every time that you go out.
Rick
I’ll be on the water, but my Fathers day will consist of teaching my 4yr old to “FI-Fitch” at a pond near home.
It’s my tradition every Fathers day to get out in the mornings then my kids celebrate… me!! With a 1yr old and a 4yr old the celebrations lasts about 4 minutes. Then we run around the backyard trying to catch butterflies. Regardless , to all the Dad’s out there have a great one.!
Janus
I’m not allowed to go fishing on Father’s Day because the kids will be here to celebrate the day. What’s wrong with this picture? I’ll probably end up grilling as well, and they’ll cart home all the extra food. Something’s wrong here.
BTW, my kids are 22, 26 and 29, and they don’t fish any longer.
Joseph the Longsuffering, woe is me, oh woe is me.
I’m not in Ohio either, but I’m planning on spending the entire weekend fishing the Beaverkill, Willowemoc and Delaware. My daughter, who is 22, lives in North Carolina, so I’ll be alone for this one (first one alone :() All I want is a nice 24" brown…that would make my day
I’am not in Ohio either, but I hope all the dads going out have banner days. I am going out to a small creek in the morning and then meeting the family at a ponds for a picinic and some gills!
No promises but I may be able to wet a line Sunday.
Joe,
What about mowing the grass, painting the trim, taking the trash out, finding out that dads ummm soda pop is gone? and why do mom’s get to do what they want on mum’s day??? Oh! Sorry about the flash back  Boy is pop’s day fun
Davey; SINCE WHEN, is it “Mom’s get to do, what they want to do”, ONLY on Mom’s Day? Last time I checked, it was more like "Moms get to do, what they want to do, ANY DAY of the year, not just one!?!
I, too, feel just AWFUL for poor Oven God. Well, I’ll begin to feel sorry for him, right after I get back from Bass fishing, this coming Sunday morning, right before I switch gear and head back out for Sea Run Cutt’s fishing, in the afternoon. Maybe I’ll wait, until after I go pond fishing, Sunday evening, so I can give the guy my full “pity feeling treatment”.
I sure hope, I don’t forget to feel sorry for him, SOMETIME during that day!?! Gonna be sort of busy, fishing so much, switching gear and all… but I’ll try really hard, not to.
Lake Erie High Ball…I will be around the Hilliard Bridge area and then might try up by Puritas/Mastick. Water looked really good today.
Paul,
Would you like a little salt to rub into the open wound? At least I’ll get to fish most of the rest of the week. The family is heading to the mountains for a few days of rest, relaxing (read shopping with mama) and recreation. I may get some fishing with Daniel between the hours of wife induced fun.
I love Father’s day. 364 days of the year, the wife gets what she wants, on Father’s day, she asks first before doing what she wants.
