Just wondering how many FAOLers we can get at one time at some of the upcoming shows… Be kind of neat to have a midwinter get together, maybe lunch?? I’ll be tying at Schaumburg Il, Marlborough Ma, and Somerset NJ starting in 2 weeks and running one after the other. We had a dozen at Somerset last year…Bob
PS The Schaumburg Show will be held at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center.
The Marlborough Show at the Convention Center, and the Somerset Show at the Convention Center right next to the DoubleTree Inn where the International was held last November…
Fly Tyers Row. Show Tyers tying at a row of tables down the left wall and around the corne at the Marlborough Show. Names behind us on wall. See you there…Bob.
West coaster have several coming up. I’ll probably head over to the San Mateo I.S.E. ( International Sportsman Expo ) at the San Mateo fairgrounds ( January 11 - 14 ).
I will be sharing my booth at Somerset again this year with rod maker Bill Taylor. Ya’ll be sure to stop by and say hello. I think this may be my last Somerset show for awhile, since this will be 4 years in a row and I want to do some of the other shows around the country.
Can’t go. When the big show is in the Northwest it is right in the middle of steelhead season. Now, what is more important? Standing in a 40 degree river during a cold rain trying to catch a fish most think doesn’t even exist or standing in great big building with a couple thousand other fishermen completely board out of thier minds?
Will see you there Jerry. Whillock’s not coming this year…Still on meds and can’t fly. Donny Bastian’s wife is recovering from an operation for early stage of pancreatic cancer so Donny won’t be there either. A couple of others have some problems and had to drop out. A few new faces coming in on tyer’s row. Hoping weather holds till the Chicago Show is over…Bob
