Any other texans here

Just curious if there are any other members on here from the state of Texas

Winter Texan here. We spend 3 months in south Tx. during the winter. Does that count?

Proud Texan here in Garland. Don’t you just love our Texas summers.

Kilgore, Texas here… garland aint too far from me… i think garland is close to dallas texas ?

I live in Tn., now, but I was Born in Dallas, and grew up in Lewisville, and Galveston.

I went to Texas A & M for my BS and Masters.

Gig 'em, Aggies!!!

I Live in Md. but spent most of my younger years in Freeport, Paris and El Paso. I will always be a Texan in heart.

Another fellow Texan here. Quite a ways south of you here in Victoria.

I live in Springtown my self. About 30 miles west of Fort Worth on Jacksboro Highway.

Fort Worth Texas here.

Born in Houston raised in Willis (50 miles north of Houston). You know what they say “Once a Texan, always a Texan”

I lived in Saginaw (Fort Worth suburb just to the North) for 5 1/2 years 2002-2007.

I usually try not to disclose that information…

PS - There was a good local TX fly-fishing forum called TX fly report, but it got abruptly shut down. I knew FAOL TX member rrhyne56 from there.

One more here…

Hi Raiderhunter,

Native Kansan, but have been here in Borger, Texas 19 years. You know where Borger is, I don’t need to describe the area to you.

We have everything necessary for great fly fishing here in the panhandle…well…except one…we are a little short on water.

Regards,

Gandolf

Nearly got shot by a bartender in a Love Lane dive in Dallas in 1971. Saw Elvis in Houston in 1970. Do those count?

(BTW, Gandolf, I had no idea you could post so succinctly.)

Tyler,TX here

Yep,

Carrollton Tx, just North of Dallas. I’ve been doing most of my fishing in Oklahoma (LMF River near Broken Bow) of late though.

JR

Grew up in Bedford - (D/FW midcities) - now in Hollywood! Still got family in Lubbock. Fish ON!
Mike K.

Round Rock (just north of Austin)

do most of my trout fishing on the White in Arkansas and in Montana.

but it would surprise how much folks from the Appy foothills in GA are alike to Texans sometimes. I don’t know that I’ve met a Texan I didn’t like. Wait, there was that one guy…George…something…:stuck_out_tongue: I do have 2 Texan born friends, good people both.

Posted on the welcome thread, but it bears repeating.

I’m in a little town called Silsbee, just north of Beaumont, and about 2 hours East of Houston.
