Just saw, on another web site, that Sylvester Nemes has passed away. No additional information … If this is real, the world of fly fishing/fly tying has lost a great one!
Betty,
Nothing about his demise on the Flymph Forum that I saw. Would be a sad day indeed, if true.

Just found it … very sadly true …
Sylvester Nemes
“Sylvester Nemes of Bozeman passed away at his home with his wife, Hazel Nemes, at his side at 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011.
Published in Bozeman Daily Chronicle on February 8, 2011”
Truly a sad day for the flyfishing community. Syl was as good as they come and we have lost a giant in our world. Prayers go out to his wife and family.
Kelly.
Sorry to hear of this news. I really enjoyed his books on soft hackle flies.
Yes, this is a sad day for sure. Heart and thoughts to his wife and family.
Was hoping it wasn’t true. A great tier who will be missed.
