My grandpa is having me tie some Coho flies for him. He usually would just buy them but when he fishes the Kenai River, but he needs a bigger hook. (On the Coho River a 1/0 hook is illegal and they don’t sell the bigger hooks. It is legal to use a 1/0 on the Kenai)So does any one have any recomendations on a good 1/0 hook? Any help is appreciated!

If you can find some Gamakatsu hooks I believe you will be pleased with them. They are what I use for all of my bigger flies.
I tie my salmon/steelhead flies on Mustad 36890. They are available in 2/0 for sure, maybe bigger. Another option is tube flies which seem to be getting more and more popular.

Those Mustads do come in 1/0 and 2/0. Tiemco 7999 also come in 1/0 and larger as do alec jackson spey hooks. The alec jackson also come in different colors to match your patterns.
