I have almost an entire Pronghorn skin. Am currently fleshing it and will dry it with Borax. Worked well on Deer Hide, so why not?
I am going to cut it so I can tack it onto a board better…what is the best part to use?

Nice hollow hair in the rump and along the back. Flares well but is bit fragile and gets cut easily with thread.
I use it mostly for spun hair flies that are trimmed to shape. For example, Goddard caddis, irresistable, bass poppers.
Kengore’s got it about right, but I don’t use it much on bass bugs because brittle hair=not-so-durable flies and bass are hard enough on them as it is. Works like a charm on the little stuff like the goddard caddises, though. You just have to be careful with the thread tension til you get a feel for what you can get by with without cutting the hair.
