Another tadpole

After casting my tadpole for the swap, I couldn’t help but think that the second one I ordered would be best used for my 8 year old daughter’s first rod. It can be built inexpensively, is pretty rugged, and is a bit shorter with a fairly forgiving action. With the snowstorm we had, I had some extra time today, so I finished wrapping her rod. I kept it simple, and let her pick out the color (pale yellow NCP). I still have the inscription, and then the finish to do.

BTW, that is my finish application spatula on the table.

Nice build.

I specifically ordered 2 blanks so that I could build the second one for my 12 yr old daughter. I’m gonna get it done and give it to her for her 13th birthday in late April.

Quite candidly, it looks kind of “girly.” Oh, wait, it’s supposed to, isn’t it ??!! Nicely done.

Hope your daughter enjoys many great outings with it and catches oodles of whatever kind of fishies she enjoys catching most.

I’m just glad that I didn’t have any pink thread. At least the yellow is subtle and not florescent!
