Another off-topic

If you get an evening (or afternoon for that matter) where the weather is inclimate, all of the flies are tied and you are looking for something to do, consider going to the Disney film, Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

This film, based on the classic by C.S. Lewis, was remarkably well done. Followed the book very closely (rare) and had quality acting and effects.

Truly a family film and worth the small loan it takes to go to the cinema anymore. I give it a rating of 5 “fish-on’s”.

Enjoy

The wife dragged me to see it yesterday.
I enjoyed it very much.
There were many more adults there than kids.
I give it **** four “fish-on’s”

alaskanfishguide,
my school is going to see the movie next week. we read the book in school and it was pretty good. Are principle says its are christmas present for this year from are school. maybe it won’t be one of the movies that are nothing like the book. I hate those movies they seem like they make no sence compared to the book. 1 is HARRY POTTER (lol). I have read those books and there are a lot of parts that the book has and the movie doesn’t . but the book is pretty good
thanks,

Every year there are usually a couple of movies I just have to see…this movie is one of them. Have been out of the country the past week so I havent had a chance to see it yet. I have read the entire series by CS Lewis and it is arguably the greatest series of fantasy books written…IMHO right along with Tolkien’s books about Middle Earth.

Take care everyone and cya around. Mark

We are reading the book as a family first, but we will be going to see it soon.

Does it only cover that one book from the set? We bought the full series for reading, and started with “The Magicians Nephew.” We then need to read “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.” Then we can go see it. We should make it during the Christmas break.

drolfson,

Indeed the movie only covers the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, however your desire to read first will be rewarded. The movie follows the book quite well but it is always better to read the book first.

Though I haven’t read the complete series, or the “Magician’s Nephew”, my daughter says that this book answers many questions left from the LW&R and the movie.

Enjoy.
