Another New Member Introduction

Just signed on after simply visiting for the last couple of years. I live in the vicinity of Cedar Springs, MI. We moved here from Lansing last August. I’d been commuting for 5 years to Grand Rapids, and we love it up here. I am 10 minutes from the Rogue and an hour from the Pere Marquette. I expect my “days on the water” rating will explode by this time next year. I plan to attend the Michigan Fish-In in August. The last 3 years I spent 4-6 days a month camped at the Upper Manistee SF campground (my favorite)and split my time 60/40 in favor of the Upper Manistee. Any among us from Michigan, drop me a line and say hello. I’m always eager and happy to meet folks that love flyfishing as much as I do.

Cedartucky;
Welcome to the best site on the web! Good to see another Michigander here. That makes 2 this week!
I’m only about 80 miles North of you and about 40 miles from the PM.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Fish-In but we may hook up before that!
P.S. I see you are in mental health. You’ll soon find out we need all the help we can get!!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

I just bought a house in the Muskegon/Whitehall area and will be transitioning to retirement there in the next 2 or 3 years. Needless to say, I’m very eager to learn about the fly fishing scene up there. I’m going to try to make the Michigan Fish-In also so that I can shamelessly pick the brains of you long time residents.

Cedartucky, Welcome to the group. I’m over here on the west side of GR.Hope to see you at the fish in.

Cedartucky,

Welcome aboard. If you have been hanging out on the fringes for the past couple of years, you already know the value of FAOL. I look forward to getting to know you through your posts.

Cedartucky and Jack,

Our club has settledon the campground at Croton Dam for our annual Michigan outing this year. It’s in June, and I’ll pist the dates later. Love to have you guys stop by the camp and maybe fish with you. We were up there two years ago and the same spot and fished the Muskegon and took one day to fish the Little Muskegon, which was a real blast.

Welcome aboard Cedartucky, I’s sure you’ll find a lot of usefull information here.

These are the idle thoughts that posses a man’s mind when he’s not able to fish.

Hey Cedar,

Welcome to the group. Glad that you decided to delurk and join us. Your fishing situation sounds very stressful and tiring. I congratulate you on the courage that you are showing in the face of such adversity. 8T

You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

Cedartucky,

A warm Welcome to you.

Lots of fine folks hang out here. Coffee’s always hot. Just check the guns at the door
