Another first birch bark handle

My first attempt at a Birch bark handle. It is actually a combo of Bubinga and bark. After fishing it,I do like how the birch bark feels in the hand, I will be making more of these. The rod is a Sevier, reel seat is The B101 from Batson, The reels seat wood is Mahogany Crotch and the winding check is moose antler. The thread is Fishhawk varigated Wood and cooper metallic trims with no CP. The fish is a Westslope fatty!

Wow! And wow again! That is beautiful!!!

Absolutely beautiful!

Impressive. Do you purchase birch bark or peel it off a tree yourself?

Haven’t seen an antler used for a winding check - very cool! And mixing the BB and bubinga came out lovely.

Nice as always. I gotta find try a bark grip.

Wow that is awesome!
