An old friend murdered...prayers for her family

My wife called me while I was out fishing this morning to tell me that an old friend of ours and her daughter had been murdered on Saturday. Her older daughter apparently discovered the bodies. They aren’t giving details yet so I don’t know what happened. She was a good, caring person and her daughter was a smart, beautiful girl of 22 with a promising life before her.

If you could keep the family and especially the older daughter in your prayers, I’d appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers. To update, they did arrest the daughters boyfriend in Wildwood NJ and he confessed to the crime. He was in possesion of their 1996 Acura. Memorial services are Sunday. I hope I can find the right words for her older daughter and the mothers ex-husband.

What the HELL. The daughters boyfriend? Did he have a grudge against them or something? Did the daughter know this was going to happen? Weird.

I really don’t know him at all. I don’t know if they were currently an item or formerly. He was living with them (the mother is the kind of person who would take someone in, not the permissive kind), but that’s all I’ve heard. If the police know a motive, they’re not saying yet.

I’m losing count of the people I’ve known who have been murdered…it’s disturbing and depressing.
