For those of you that have trouble tying deerhaid sculpinc, or clipping the wool right i have devised a very simple sculpin pattern. instead of deer hair i use foam, with some lead eyes in the middle to help it sink. it uses a bunny strip for some really great movement. and a musk ox body for a nice look. I havn’t tried it yet, but i really think it will catch fish. If you don’t have musk ox, you can just dub some rough dubbing of your choice. i have tied it with a yellow head and a green head and i like to put little black dots on the heads of the colored ones.

Nice job JZ…
Just a heads up…Kelly Galloup in his DVD…[I think it’s when he ties his Zoo Cougar]… points out some features he thinks help the scoulpin design…I don’t tie them and don’t remember his points but you may find them interesting.
oaky doke, i am going to do a 10 mile float today, and if there isn’t a strong hatch, i will try this 1.
