I bought a roll of the new “ambush triangle taper” fly line. all i can say is wow! the ambush is designed to deliver outstanding rollcasting performance from a single handed fly rod. i fish in places where there is no room for a backcast. with very little effort on my part, i was shooting line.
How much of an advantage do you think it gives you? I’m talking number wise, does it add 10 ft to your roll casts, 30 ft, or just make them easier overall? And how does it do with normal overhand and side arm fly casting? I’m really curious about this line, it could be perfect for a few places i fish.
I t is amazing, the only limit is your ability to time your cast. I bought it for spey casting with a single- handed rod. you can back cast with it too. I fish in a lot of places where there are trees & little room for back casting. the line worked when i used the Belgium cast. it is very easy to shoot line with the ambush. I plan to buy the eight weight version and maybe the four weight. I currently have the six weight

Thanks for the quick answer. 4 6 and 8 would be the sizes I’d want too so if you end up with them post a review of how they compare to the 6. These could make some of my spots much easier to work.
