tail - moose body hair
body - tying thread
hackle - dun
wing - moose body hair
head - deer hair
legs - medium rubber black
Part 1
Mash barb, start thread at head
Clean, stack, measure (1/2 shank length) a clump of deer hair; trim to length, tie in with 2 soft loops, pull it tight, let it spin, wrap to bend
Clean, stack, measure (gap width past bend) a clump of moose hair; tie in, wrap to head and back
Tie in (folded) hackle by tip
Coat body with Sally (or resin), wrap hackle forward, stroking fibers to the rear; tie off/trim
