Another B.C. pattern found during an interweb search; simple enough.

hook ? Dai Riki 730 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 white/black
rib - small wire silver
body - tinsel pearl
underwing - marabou white
wing - redhead flank (teal called for but I’m out of decent feathers)
throat - marabou red

Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to point

tie in tinsel, brush shank with Super Glue, wrap tinsel to point and back with touching wraps; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread; fade to black

measure (gap width past bend) a marabou feather (moist fingers keep in in line); tie in/trim

Part 2

tie in throat, pull butts till tips almost reach point; trim

measure (tip just short of rear of underwing) waterfowl flank feather; tie in, pull forward to length

trim, whip finish, SHHAN (3 coats here)

Scott

My son fishes a ton of alevins for dollies, especially and he insists eyes make a difference. In this case he uses a big dot of light-colored fingernail polish with a dot of black.

Very effective pattern this time of year as humpies and chum start hatching and heading to salt.

Beautiful!
