Albright A5. Anyone having problems?

I bought an A5 4wt from them last year. The first time out with it the butt section of all places broke near the junction of the sections. They nicely replaced it. Now this past time out(after probably being used 25 times) the tip section broke(again near a junction). I find this a bit odd. I could see if I was constantly breaking the tip section at the end, that I was mis-treating the rod but this seems strange. I’ve never had a rod break near a junction before.

Anyone else having this problem?

I have and A5 6wt, and although I have only used it about 4 times, it is fine. Often rods break at the junction because the top-most part starts to loosen and ‘leave’ the bottom part. One solution is to coat the male end of each ferrule with some candle wax. Not only does this make the rod hold together better, it also makes it easier to pull apart at the end of the day.

That is definitely not the problem. All sections are(were) seated well. It’s breaking about 1/4 to 1/2 above the junctions. Not at the junction. The junctions are still perfectly intact.
