see this one and 24/25 other streamers in an article I’m writing to be posted on my blog. the article should be done in about a month. it will be called “Streamers from A to Z”. anybody know of a streamer starting with the letter “X” please let me know.
Another very nicely tied streamer! The peacock body looks packed pretty tight and uniform. Do you twist the herl in a dubbing loop to make a sort of peacock chenille? I learned that technique from an Alec Jackson spey fly video and have been using it for years. I even go so far as to spin a grizzly hackle, tip first, right in with the peacock herl to make my griffith’s gnat. Makes for a very durable fly. You can use the same technique to make wooly buggers if you use ostrich herl . To make the body even more durable you can add some wire to the twist. Hope I’ve not gone to far off the beaten path here. I have an uncontrollable tendency to do that. I don’t know much, but what I do know I like to share!!! Thanks again for sharing your talent. One of these days I’m going to invest in a digital camera so I can post photos!!!
