About the Mo.fish in.

I figure on going.
Ive talked a buddy into going along . Figure to be there from Monday through Friday.
Who else is figuring on going?
Do you figure to fish the park , or out of it?
Will you camp (tent) ,RV, or stay is a cabin/hotel ?
Using the restaurant or cooking out?
Not trying to get real personal,
just curious about other folkes modus operandi to angling away from home.
Im not sure if my Bride will be there, if there is a chance of modestly cool weather than its a deffinite NO.
Any one else figure to bring there dearly beloved?

I am planning on going. I will sleep in a campground in the back of my Chev Tahoe/fish where ever someone tells me to try/eat sandwiches and one good meal out per day. Hope to get a “kitchen pass” for 3 nights and will be traveling alone from western Ky.

Currently awaiting transportation and lodging instructions from someone desiring a 2-meal cook (breakfast & dinner) for the MO Fish-In. Chance of a lifetime, and I sit here wondering why they are not beating down my door with offers and signing bonuses. Hmmmmmmm…

Joe

i plan on going for at least a couple of days. hopefully will stay somewhere that has a kitchen. i always try to keep my eating out to a bare minimum. one thing to think about is we will be about an hour or so away from the white river in arkansas. they are currently predicting the heavy generation will end by late september and are speculating that the fish will be fat and the fishing hot and heavy by the time this fish-in rolls around. would definitely be worth the drive down for some spectacular fishing.

I’m goin got be there for a few days. Unfortunaltely I won’t be able to stay for the entire event because I’ll have some company in town from Scotland. He is a flyfisherman as well, so will be joining me, but he is here to bow hunt, so that will be priority #1. If he manages to get a deer and turkey early in his trip then we might stay for longer.

I’m plannin on camping in a tent at the park, and fishing the park and the river. I’ve never fished either, so it sould be a great experience. I love to cooking on an open fire, so we will probably do a big breakfast, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast, etc. Everyone is welcome to join us for breakfast and some coffee in the morning while we are there, so bring a coffee cup and come hungry. If we decide to get a cabin the offer will still stand.

I’m REALLY looking forward to getting down there. I haven’t been able to fish as much as I thought I would be able to this year…well, who really ever does, so it should be good fun.

We might take a trip down to Taneycomo too (time permitting) to spend an evening with nightangler chasing some of those massive browns he’s so fond of catching.

So much fishing…so little time.

I can’t wait to see everyone there. Joe…if it was up to me, you’d have a chartered flight that would land you on a gravel bar in front of my tent so you could show off some of your gastronomic talents…I’m still working on it, but don’t hold your breath.

TT.

Do we have any FAOL’ers with their own chopper? I know Nighthawk would bring me in if he had his own bird. :p:p:p I’ll stand by awaiting instructions.

Joe

I’ll be there a couple of days depending on how work is going. If its anything like it looks it will be, I’ll be there a few days at minimum. Hopefully I will have the funds to try to get a room at the motel at Montauk or nearby Licking.

I’m single too if anyone wants to bring along some extra women that are sane.JK I’ll be there to fish and BS like all of you and hopefully learn a thing or three.

Cya all there,

Rich
