A wake up call

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Authorities have identified the man who drowned Monday evening while fishing on a pond near Forest Grove.
Sgt. David Thompson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office says 73-year-old Charles Martiny of Beaverton fell out of a small inflatable raft after standing up to cast his line out.
Witnesses say he was only able to stay afloat for a short time.
The fisherman was not wearing a life jacket.

I am guilty of this in my canoe, having the jacket next to me but not wearing it.

I am going to have to look for something to keep me afloat while also being cool enough to wear on a warm afternoon.

Hi Eric,

I wear SOSpenders whenever I am in a boat or float tube. And I will sometimes where them on the river, too. And anyone who rides in my boat will wear a life jacket, too. The SOSpenders are not uncomfortable at all. They don’t get in the way. I can wear them over anything.
