A prayer request

My buddy Billy Stevenson has had one thing after another go wrong. He turned 65 on November 17 in the hospital. He has lost over 100 lbs in about 4 months. Has a terrible cough and due to his diabetes can barely walk. After 8 days in the hospital he went home. He could not take care of himself so we had him put into a nursing home. Two days later he had a major stroke! Now he’s back in the hospital and cannot talk or use his right side at all. He also has a touch of pneumonia. The Dr did a contrast CT on this brain and chest. They found a mass behind his lungs that did not show up in earlier exrays so they have him scheduled for a bronchioscopy and biopsy tomorrow.
Whew! I know there are a lot of folks oh this site who need prayer and who pray. Please keep my friend Billy in your prayers too. Thank you, Jim

Jim,

Consider your request done…

Jim,

Sorry to hear about your buddy. I will include Billy in my prayers.

Prayers on the way.

You got it Jim. Prayers on the way for Billy.

I will add Billy to my prayer list
Chris

Jim,
You have always been very thoughtful in recognizing birthdays, mine and others, here on FAOL. In return I can hardly not honor your prayer request for your dear friend. Please know, my thoughts and prayers will be with him.

Mark

Jim,
Prayers for Billy coming from here in Ohio.
God Bless,
Mike

Jim, Billy is being prayed for here in MT. Best Regards…

Billy is back in the nursing home. The Doctors were unable to do the biopsy on the mass behind his lungs. The infection is too bad and pneumonia is too severe to pierce the lung. However the dr is 90% convinced he has cancer because of all his other symptoms.
At this time he cannot swallow so is not allowed anything by mouth. We have lemon flavored glycerin swabs to moisten his lips and mouth. He is not a candidate for surgery, chemo or radiation. His only nourishment comes from an IV. He refuses a feeding tube.

Good news is his daughter finally came to see him. That cheered him up a good deal. Hopefully she can come see him again before he’s gone.
Please continue to pray for him. I pray with him every day when I’m with him. He likes that. I tell him people around the world are praying for him and he grunts and gives a big thumbs up.

Jim if there is time print these comments out and read them to him. I know it isn’t much, but others have done it in the past and it seems to help.
Hugs,
LF

That’s a wonderful idea Deanna. I will do that. Thank you for the thought. Jim

Jim,

My prayers will be for you and Billy. Excellent suggestion by Ladyfisher. I was going to ask you to tell Billy at least 100 people on FAOL are caring about him…if he could hear you.

But Ladyfisher hit the spot I think.

My prayers are commencing this moment…unfortunately with tears in my eyes. Running down my cheeks. And I don’t even know why.

But my prayers are for you and Billy and it is a wonderful thing you do for him with this effort.

Hat’s off to you Mr. Jim

Jim,

Your friend has certainly had a hard introduction into what are suppose to be the “Golden Years.” My heart goes out both of you. Prayers and best wishes coming to both of you from Upstate South Carolina. 8T

He has been added to the list.

I never turn down a prayer request. Consider it done.

Jim,

Please know that your friend Billy and his family are on my prayer list.

Take care and God Bless.

Jim Smith
