Got out with wirebender yesterday for a day of trout fishing. It was a gorgeous day weatherwise, but either the trout were stubborn or we just didn’t hit the right combinations. We did manage 3, 2 on black buggers & 1 on a San Juan worm Keith found. I didn’t get a pic of his 15 incher as he was too far off, but here are my 2…15" & the one in the net is 13". All safely released.

We then went to Keiths where I played around in his pond long enough to c & r 4 bass & a dozen or so gills. All my fish were caught on the new 5wt TFO. All bass & gills at Keith’s were taken on my yellow woolly worm.

Mike -

Looks like you made it up to South Dakota. Except that we all know that there are no trouts in S.D.

I don’t think of your part of the country having trout streams - but then again, a lot of times I just don’t think, period.

Tim & John…yeah, the spot will remain nameless, but it was fun.
John…We DO have some trout water, but nothing like you & Tim have close to you. It’s just fun to pursue them when I can.
