A funny ...

Thought I’d share this with you all. As I was taking this picture of Spearfish Creek, near Latchstring Falls, Cary started this, “Oh!! Oh! Did you see her???” I thought he was talking about a big fish. I had to admit that, no, I hadn’t seen the fish. He says, “Not a fish! The deer!!” Missed it totally!! Had to wait to get to a computer to see her. And sure enough, there on the right, up near the point, is a pretty little doe, who unseen by me while taking water pictures, went bounding through the stream, and off into the woods.

Very nice, Betty. Too bad theres no trouts in those waters.

Great photo Betty. How could a place that wonderful looking not have fish in it?

Yep … who’da thought … a real shame!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe the deer keep them all scared off? Too bad. Sure would be a pretty place to fish if there were any fish there. Yessiree, what a terrible waste of pretty water:rolleyes:

Yup,
Nice picture.
Last time I was there I looked for any aquatic life forms .
Here to tell you that it was like someone had sterilized the water of any life form.
Very picturesque though.
Kinda looks like it might be a goodplace to put a trout stream.
Next time Im in that area I’ll see if anything has sprung up :).

Betty,

Very cool picture. Don’t you just love a “happy accident” like that! Good job.

Hey betty,
After about 15 minuutes of " der ain’t no deer in this here picher" I finally did see it. Nicely done photo.

Mark
PS: Well, maybe 2 minutes.

Tell me where that is and I’ll make a ‘second opinion’ on the number of fish

Betty what a breakthrough… I have passed this incredible information on to the British Columbian Dept of Fisheries and Wildlife with the suggestion that if we fence off our streams with deer proof fencing the Fish will once again return to spawn in them. I hope it will work because for now there is an abundance of deer but…
" There are no fish in British Columbia!!!"

I have to keep traveling to Washington and Idaho which are the closest place with fishable waters.
