this fly is very simple but has worked wonders for me for catching finicky trout!
Very nice flyandtie! Those look like they would have a lot of movement in the water from the “feather fluff bodies”.
Have you tried any with a few turns of red thread or gold tinsel at the bend, as a tag?
Sometimes a small hot-spot like that can really get them keyed into your fly (stands out a touch from the naturals). On the other hand, there are days when that very same feature seems to put them off, so it’s best to have both at the ready until you know what kind of day it’s going to be.
