If you folks want to see a fabulous collection of flyfishing and tying stuff take a look at what this guy inherited over on flytyer’s forum.

Ok I am done drooling…
As he said, what a gift he has been blessed with. Hopefully he has considered how his old and new collection will be distributed when he goes on to that great trout stream in the sky. Hopefully he has an heir who values it as much as he does, and will appreciate what will be left for him/her.

A man’s lifetime collection has now become another man’s lifetime supply.
What better way to honor a friend’s memory than to catch a fish on a fly he tied or to tie flies with materials he left you?
I’m sure the man who passed away left his collection to this man because he knew it would be put to good use. It would be put to good use by a man who appreciates what he has and who obviously had a great respect for the older gentleman.
Sometimes life goes full circle and it’s a good thing.

Truly nice stuff. Incredible even. We all should be so lucky. Except maybe Tuber who has won almost everything under the sun already.
The best thing in that post was reading with what reverence the recipient of the collection had for the Old fellow who bequeathed it to him. The old gentleman knew what he was doing for sure.
What a wonderful gift–my wife worries about my room full of stuff but she knows that FISHBUM a fellow FAOL member will find a place for all of it. BILL
It is truly a wonderful collection of material but it comes with a very high price----the passing of his friend. I’m sure this is bitter-sweet moment. 8T
WOW!!! What a gift to have a friend like that.
I don’t think you ever have to worry about not having a certain material again! thats the motherload of flytying materials!
Those photo’s bring tears to the eyes!! Man that was a truly wonderful inheritance he left him. At least it went to someone who will truly appreciate it.

I’m with Fatman on this one, and all the others as well, but to know that what that gentleman held so dear, went to some one who will hold it just as close, then you know it went to the right person…
