As I’m working from home today, I had the time to babysit the pot:
Beef stew, … Lots of beef cubes, 2 lbs of big chunks of carrots, potatoes, a splash of red wine in the sauce!!
(and I eat 'real spicy and over rice).
Not so cold and rainy today, but I got the itch to make it yesterday when it was raining

The menu sound great! But, what is a “Cold and Rainy Autumn Day”?! 
On the kitchen counter, the remains of one loaf of no-knead rye (light) and one regular no-knead. Friday we took two big slices (pre-mustarded) (regular yellow) to a store where we could get fresh sliced (very thin) corned beef. Made a sandwich (1/3 of a pound of meat) right there and each had half. Darn, it sure was good.
