A Change of Underwear

Have a look at this string in a UK BB:- [url=http://flyforums.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1139164231:e72ad]http://flyforums.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=113916 4231[/url:e72ad]

Night time fishing for sea trout(sea run browns) is very popular over here. As you can see the Celts are well represented in this string started by our old friend Highlander.
There are six pages and nearly eighty replies.
No doubt there are as many tales over there in bear country.

Anybody know what gives with people from the U.K. and ghosts. I’ve worked with several folks from England and Scotland and they all told ghost stories and I think they believed them. I was just in New York last week and one of the ladies in the N.Y. office is from Ireland. She told me not to work too late or the ghosts would be offended and try to scare me off. She was serious. I teased her and she got offended and said the ghosts would really be mad now.

the British Isles are an old old old old place. There has been so much that has happened there and who knows what all haunts the shores?

Still, I’d rather meet a ghost than a big old shark while wading. At least there would be a chance of a pleasant conversation with a ghost.

So you think that you’d have a ghost of a chance?
I’ve been scared out of the water by a pack of ki-dogs. For those who might not know, they are mixed coyote and domestic (often feral) dogs. They don’t seem to fear people as much as coytoes do. They are often bigger, gaining bulk from larger domestic breeds. A pack in the area in question had already chewed up a youngster pretty badly.

Never had a ghost or shark,(no sharks in WYO waters), but if you have ever heard a beaver slap it’s tail on the water you know what I mean, then try it about 1 yard away from you.

I won’t even start with how many times I have made the mistake of getting between a cow moose and her calf. Does CHASED off the water count?
