My mother would have been 75 years old yesterday. She passed from this life on Sunday January 29. On Saturday,the 28th, all 8 of her children, their spouses and her 21 grandchildren all gathered together in her bedroom and sang her happy birthday a week early. She lifted her arms up off of the bed as if to give all of us a hug, mumbled what we all believe to be an I love you and then dosed off.

Sorry to hear of your loss Tim. Am glad though you were all together. No matter how much you expect it, it leaves an emptyness that even time can not heal completely but only only dull the memory of a bit to make it barable. Be thankful you had her as long as you did. …Bob
The fact that your whole extended family was there tells me volumes about your mom. Mourn her passing for a short time, then celebrate her life, by being the kind of person(people)that she was. My condolences.

I thank all of you for your prayers. My mother was a tough lady. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in 99’, in 03’ the doctors gave her a 6 months to live estimate. She never let it take over her life and she died on her own terms.

Memories live forever. I lost my Mom many years ago, but she is still with us every day. Sounds like your Mom had a wonderful farewell.
