I just posted about CND and included their 1 year warranty, then after that you have to pay $60 in addition to shipping and handling, so now I want to make a positive post about a company.
I was just on TFO’s website and saw the following:
Blanks sections (as appropriate) will be replaced and returned with related hardware and finishings from broken sections. This warranty is limited to our blank, on custom TFO rods.
To me, this says if you dont know jack poop about rod building and buy a custom built tfo, and it breaks, you just send it back to TFO and they will take off all the components before they fix it then send the rod back with the components. Then of course you would have to find someone to rebuild that section.
BUT, I believe most company’s make you strip the rod before you send it in for repair.
Hmmm, they could? With all the other manufacturers saying “send us your blank with all components removed, if you dont we are not responsible if you dont get them back”, I just thought it was cool that they went a step beyond. If they rebuilt it, that would be even extra awesome.
I sent back a section of a custom Sage with the stuff still attached, and they sent me a new blank section and the old broken blank section. (with the hardware still attached) I had to pay shipping one way, and a small fee, but I forget how much it was.
This seems more like what you can expect from ANY rod manufacturer. You cannot expect them to replicate what a custom builder has done. Just be happy to get a replacement rod section.
