9 days and counting!

Well, I can now legally fish in Michigan! We picked up our licenses today, so now I can actually fish when we get to the fish-in. I can hardly wait, and I know because of that this next week is going to go soooooooo slooooooow!

This is my schedule for the week

Monday: Start packing, practice tying knots

Tuesday: Work on packing, practice tying knots, go to my quilt meeting

Wednesday: Work on packing, practice tying knots, figure out what fun stuff to take besides fishing stuff.

Thursday: Go to my applique group, clean out the truck, work on packing, practice tying knots.

Friday: Go to the grocery store for supplies, make brownies for the meet & greet, practice tying knots, do the laundry and finish packing. Set everything up in one area to make it easy to load the truck. Try to calm down enough to actually get some sleep.

Saturday: Haul everything to the truck, take a quick potty break and leave for the fish-in Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Jean;
I’ve stopped counting and started packing!!

I just got back–The south branch was unfishable today but the mainstream was about 3" high and still got my lower pockets on my vest wet in a couple tippy- toe situations not to mention the rockpile that got between my legs that i didnt see.
I saw a few rises by mostly small fish—the fish were looking up and even though there wasnt much hatch activity, I managed a half dozen brookies on a isonychia parachute but moved some bigger browns on a muddler.
The big front that came through went south of grayling.
