PT, nice flies and I enjoy the blog as well… keep them coming!

Thanks for posting. Your flies keep me thinking outside the box with the color combos. Great work.

really nice flies

I like your flies, it looks like your trout are behaving like winter grayling, by the size and style of your flies.
Very nice collection.

Donald,

I wanted to try out a bunch of the smaller patterns I have been working on…I made a deal with my son that we would use big articulated cone head streamers and leeches with sinking lines on the next trip up to the East Walker. There are double digit Browns in this water…he and I had a few on for a minute or so…once they get into the fast water below you, the race is on…I had a number of hooks bend and straighten out with these beasts.

Michael chased one big guy about 100 meters down river till it sounded in the stream side tangles and broke him off. I had a couple of guides on the river come up to me and tell me that they were really impressed with my kid’s aggressiveness. Well, Michael has been a professional skateboarder for a number of years and has exceptional balance and strength in his legs…I , old dog that I be, am a bit more circumspect …
