This is built on a 7’9" 3wt 2pc Dark blue/deep greenish colored Shikari blank. Reel seat is a Stabalized dyed green one from Les Friborg of “Inserts By Les”. Grip is one I turned out of all exotic cork (Burnt/Copano/Burl). has single foot silver guides and Nickle Silver hardware. Wraps are black, then forward 1/4 of wraps are Auqamarine metallic, then a single turn metallic silver at the rear.

Beautiful work, Steve, can you give us a little background on the Shikari blanks?
Shikari makes (or should I say “made” because they went out of business) some nice blanks for fly and spin rods. They were bought out by another compant a couple years ago and now I believe just within the last year the company that bought them out stopped production under the Shikari name. Which is too bad because they were a nice quality blank for around $80’ish.
