Well the general fishing season closed in western Montana yesterday that means if I want to fish moving water I have to drive 70 miles down to the Kootenai.AAARHG its going to be a long winter.time to clean off the tying desk I guess.lets see if I tie an average of 6 flies a night X 171 days I guess I had better get a bigger flybox.
I guess my wife will be happy to see me
now maybe I can start on the honeydo list
OR Not!Happy holidays everyone and start dreaming of next season.
Happy holidays to you also and may the shack nastiest stay away!

Yo gonfishin …I was just checking the map . It looks like you can almost hit British Columbia with a rock from Eureka . Fishing isn’t closed up here . You could fish the elk for $40.00 a day . Or Kookanoosa but I know what you mean , I’m counting the days too . My computer is right beside my fish tank a 33 gallon aquarium . Its as close to fish as I’ll get till spring . Unless…hmmmm , I could fill the basement with water . Net some brookies from the creek . practice my side roll cast from the top of the stairs. have to tell the wife the plumbing broke … just might work . Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Man you’re giving me ideas I wonder if I could get my wife to fall for the broken plumbing idea? I use to fish on the lower Elk
every once in awhile
[I can be there in 20 minutes]
but between dealing with border crossing and the classified water charge I kind of gave up on it.
