Today is the 23rd aniversary of my wife and my first date, Independence day was always my favorite Holiday before that date and still is. Hope yours is as wonderful as mine. Keep it safe people.

Our weather is not good, so I plan to tie flies, make some jerky, then (IF the rain stops) go to fireworks with some of the Grandkids.

Weather is beautiful today, sunny with atypically mild temps and no wind.
My son and his relatively new wife are coming from the Cities. He called a couple of
nights a go and sheepishly asked for Charity if they could bring her dog. I suggested
he just bring the dog.

Happy 4th of July to you HarleyBob and the rest of the folks here on FAOL. My family and I are off to a bbq this evening at my best buddy’s place to celebrate the 4th and his birthday which was the 3rd.

While I most sincerely wish each and every one hear and around our country a safe and sane holiday.

I have to believe most are working for a brighter future
that will restore what the 4th of July represents.

Let us never forget the sacrifices, past yes, but much more importantly
now…

Be safe and be willing! The time has come for all of us that know
our country to stand up and be accounted…

Happy Independence Day everyone! The History Channel is running their special “The American Revolution” all day. They are showing all of the episodes today and I highly recommend it.

I got a last minute reprieve on mandatory work over the holiday but now I have a very serious attack of sinusitis going on, “Niagara Nose” and all. However, I will drag my a** out to see fireworks tonight. Well, maybe I will crawl out to see them.:wink:

The closest I get to Spam is SPELLIN’ it!! :stuck_out_tongue:
I AM out of fudge, but I’ll get some made this week. I’m working on a batch of beef jerky now.
