Okay folks…
Considering all the knowledge (and entertainment ;)) I get from the members of this site;
and
Considering I have very little knowledge, experience or ability to “give back”;
and
Considering I end each fall with an abundance of squirrel tails;

I’m again offering free gray and/or red fox squirrel tails to anyone who would like them. I’ve harvested these tails myself. They have been dabbed in salt, air-dried and stored in the freezer.

Shoot me a pm with your snail mail and whether you would like red, gray or both.

Sorry Guys and Gals… Didn’t realize I was even close to full (been told so many times :wink: ). Still have tails don’t be bashful. Plenty of room in the box now.

Great response folks… I’ll give it a couple days so everyone gets a chance to see it and start putting some packages together.

Several have offered to send a couple flies, or the like. That would be great. I love to see other people’s work, but please remember, you are under no obligation. And Please, do not send any money for either the tails or postage. This is a gift.

Hey did I read that you are given away Red and Gray Squirrel tails…You can send me a bag of each and I will send you 12 fly’s in return. Then you can tell me how well the fly’s fished for you.

Still a few requests coming in. I can’t believe the great response. This thing has over doubled each year. :slight_smile:

You guys are going to force me to hunt more squirrels next year. I’ll go broke buying biscuits for the gravy. :wink:

I’m going to be gone for the weekend (new Bass Pro - my wife of 39 years can spot a new gun at 50 yards but she can’t tell fly rods apart yet. ;))

Quick update: First batch of tails went out Tuesday and I just have to get the rest to the P.O. Try to get that done today or tomorrow.

Sorry I’m a little slow. I forgot I was going to be on the road quite so much this (last) month. Man’s got to fish while there’s ice. :wink:

Squirrel tail just arrived!! Many thanks HideHunter!! Do you fish any warm water? I’m not a very good fly tier, but I do tie one that I’ve caught lots of panfish and bass on. Not much to it and it certainly isn’t much to look at, but I’ll send you some if you want.
