3-2-12 first pike of the year. Went to the Clinton River at a spot suggested by another member from this site that use to live in MI. Have been out several times this year to no avail but today was a little different. River was up and slightly stained and the air temp was in the mid 40’s. Casting from a tree lined bank ,which isnt easy, I managed to get 2 pike. The first one was the biggest and was lost at shore trying to get him up on the bank. After tying on a steel leader I managed to get the second one in the same spot. Using streamers tied simply with barbell eyes and krystal flash in various colors. Id include a pic but most of them or currently residing in the river. Regardless my season has officially begun
Awesome!!! Great start to a season!
Gotta be a ball… Nice work!
What a great start for the season!
Greg, I was thinking about you Sunday when I was driving past the old Kilno Rd. Bridge and seen about 20 cars down there. Looks like you had some fun and good to hear your back at it again, keep the reports and pictures coming.
