2011 graduation class of beginner's only swap

The 2011 Beginner’s Only Swap has been a success, the members of FAOL, have completed the 5 swaps showing dedication and excellent skill in dressing various categories of fly patterns, and staying on track and the flies arriving by the scheduled deadlines for each swap. With each monthly fly swaps the members showed improvements in dressing the fly patterns they had chosen for that months fly swap category. These 9 members who have now completed the 5 swaps cannot be considered Beginners any more…

The five swaps in which they participated are; Soft Hackle Wet Fly, Nymph, Dry Fly, Streamer, Terrestrial. All fly boxes were received at the end of each monthly swap, all members showed a uniform appearance of all flies mailed in, the proportions where balance, and over all appearance met my high expectations. Each member show very special skills and strengths, during one or more various monthly swaps.

All FAOL Swapmeisters will be happy with these 9 members participating in their fly swaps…

Wayne Grant (Stage 1)
Karli-Rae Kerr (AlbaSurf)
Tim Walsworth (Bucky)
David Huntley (WCCNovice)
Jeremy Badgett (Jeremy.badgett)
Stephen M. Jeffries (Steve Jeffries)
Jon Cobb (RaginCajun)
Jim Lee (Cyberfish)
Jim Madsen (jimmadsen)

These nine members are all good fly tiers who with more time and experience will only become even better. This was a very fine class of members who stayed the course and delivered excellent fly patterns in a timely manner. It was a pleasure to be their mentor!
