2009 Project Healing Waters and Fly Fishing for Vets fund raiser

last year I had posted a fund raiser for www.flyfishingforvets where the winning bidder (donation directly to FFFV) would have a rod built out by me using materials provided by them, I would donate a birchbark grip and a turned reelseat as a bonus - Casey was the highest bidder and her rod was a Sage ZXL - unfortunatley this is the only picture I have since my camera went for a swim before I could download the fiinished rod pictures.

For 2009
I had two other’s that wanted rods built and matched Casey’s bid, a Fly Logic FLO 9’ 7 wt with a fighting butt - birchbark grip, reel seat and end caps maple burl

a Rainshadow RX8 7’6" 4wt - stabilized spalted maple

I am glad to announce that FFFV has signed a MOA with Project Healing Waters, we have visited the Vets hospital and are introducing fly tying, casting to some of the out patients.

Thanks for all of the support

Mike
