The CDC is about all I use myself. I keep the flank off of the mallards, teal, and gadwall, and various other feathers. Much of it has dog slobber on it, tho. I give it away to frends and relatives and others who find themselves in need. Someone already has a request in for feathers, I just can’t recall who.
No woodies to speak of around here, and that lemon flank, should I ever get any, is for my PMD collection.

Mallard…mallard… did get some CDC off of my buddy’s GW teal today, tho, in addition to his mallards. Slow morning, tho, for the Pacific flyway opener. Mostly mallards flying, had two small groups of teal come in and a single drake wigeon. Plus I can’t hit ****.
Almost had some mink. He came floating down the river while I was trying to cross, and he was eyeballing all those slightly funny looking mallards along the side, without looking where he was going. Five feet upriver he saw me out of the corner of his eye, turned to look, and made a fast getaway. I was actually in the process of reaching out with the shotgun to shove him aside so he didn’t run into me, he was so close.

I was lucky enough that a guy in South Louisiana sent me a bunch of duck feathers and then a guy that is up here on Toledo Bed gave me a ton of Wood Duck feathers. I think all of them came last hear and I have them in 2- 5 gallon buckets under my desk, LOL!
Boy I sure was glad to get them since I don’t duck hunt any longer.
