Hello Jack Hise, I have an Uncle that lives in Coleman, MI and Iโm wondering what the nearest town to Gateโs Au Sable Lodge is. 2007 just may be the year I go visit my Uncle ! Thanks !
Cheers,

Getting a lot of response to this post!!
Please pm me if you plan to attend, where you will stay, when you plan to arrive and how many will you be bringing. I have started a New Folder in my email to help keep everyone updated. I sort of got lost in the rush last year and did not do a good job of staying in touch.
Jack,
Reservations made at the Woodland, same room as this years, AND no increase in price. We are going to stay a couple of extra days this time. It worked out to about 45 Bucks a nite.
Bill
I will be there this year come heck or high water!
have fun all, and keep an eye out for the October Hex
It was suggested to hold the cook out on the 4th, which is on Wednesday. I think that would be a great way to celebrate our countryโs independence together.
I plan to set up the pavilion again for sign in, but someone else will have to take a turn signing people in, because in 2007 I plan to FISH!
I had to laugh that Bill called in our reservations for the fish in tonight. Heโs excited and has decided that this year we will go up earlier than we did in August and stay a day later. Talk about excited, I think heโll be starting the packing list before I will.
I had a great time at Cabelaโs at the planning meeting. Itโs a good thing I was named the planning group leader, somebody had to keep all those โboysโ in line! We had a great time and I want to thank Brad for the furled leaders and my frog pin. I also want to thank Mike for the chenille that he passed out at the Loma Linda restaurant just before we all left.
Iโm sure the group will be meeting again soon, after all Christmas is coming and what better place to spend money than Cabelaโs? Letโs see, Bill I need waders, a chest pack, a wading rod, etc., etc.
Eric Austin is willing to do a flytying demo/class.
The cookout will be on Wed. the 4th. Menu TBD.
Hopefully J. C. will do another casting lesson.
The casting contest will be on Thursday.
Weโll throw in an accuracy contest this year. Rules TBD.
A campfire gathering Friday or Saturday evening.
 I take exception to what Jean saidโฆ I am a man I donโt do LISTS. If you dont have what you need thats what Fly Shops are for!
Bill
Yes he does do lists! Shopping lists for his fishing supplies. I will admit, Iโm the packing list person, only because I have learned by experience that if I donโt I forget something very important.
Jean
Jim Flaming and I are going to try for the Hex hatch with Capt. Tony on June 22nd. Sort of a scouting trip for the Fish-In
Look for crowds that week being itโs the 4th of July. This year tourism was down but campgrounds could be crowded that week.
Do hatch charts count as lists?
The lodge has a hatch chart on-line. I clicked on the link to see the Aluminus flotilla hatch. I suspect that it is the dreaded Aluminus flotilla var. grumman.

I have put in for time off.
