BOB ANDERSON PANFISH FLIES
This series of flies came about because of the death of a friend. Bob Anderson got me started in Fly Tying long ago. He gave me his equipment and a few books. That got me started in this art. Bob died a couple of months ago. About this same time I saw a fly by Dr. Korn, https://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/showthread.php?48074-SBS-Korn-s-WH-Apple-Caddis-Emerger.
Finally I could tie winged flies that did not look like garbage. This is what I came up with, after having seen some Irish flies in a "Hatches" magazine.
These are more a style than exact patterns.
1. Tie in tail of pheasant crest feathers.
2. Tie in body material. Here it is punch yarn.
Wrap to front and tie off. Tie in feather or feathers for wings.

I used this pheasant feather for a single wing, Irish style.

I have caught panfish on these flies.
I have used other feathers for the tails, other yarn for the bodies.
Many different feathers have worked for the wings.
